The artwork represents “karinderya” where the artist eat every morning. He considers it a symbol of the Filipino culture of connectedness. It represents the fusion of cultures from different points in time that still affects us today. A glimpse of a dark past that was used to alleviate wary pilgrims going to Antipolo.
It is a representation of pilgrims in life and the momentary waypoints that help the artist be on track and remember that the journey is still far ahead.
