The work of Ace Aniceto reflects the Japanese three face proverb- the faces of what you show to the wolrd, what you show to your close friends and family, and what you never show to anyone, the truest reflection of who you are. The paintings are inspired by the flamingo which is a symbol of balance and strong emotion. On the other hand, the series of shattered and disfigured vision of the subjects portray the frustration of losing one’s self and identity.
